The Freelancer Hub

The Ecological Network’s Freelance Hub has been built specifically to support the UK’s freelance ecologists. The aim is to build a community for freelance ecologists as well as a platform through which freelancers can find work and gain exposure.

Similar to how the Ecological Network is a directory for ecological companies, the Freelance Hub is a directory of freelance ecologists who work as subcontractors for other ecological firms.

Freelancers can create their own profiles, outline their skills, experiences, species licences, equipment etc. and these profiles can then be searched for by ecological companies in need of support.

The freelance hub aims to be just as applicable for new graduates looking for experience undertaking bat surveys, as it is for highly specialised individuals supporting bespoke projects.
